updated July 2

thurs am we had one hen singing the" laying an egg" song.........the roo was doing his" she is laying dance and song".......very funny as it was the first time any of mine laid. She actually laid two, with one breaking on the floor of her night cage................the other was whole and weighed 50 grams. The color was mostly brown with about 1/4 white.

She is out hiding again after singing her laying song again. She found an old cardboard box ,thats where she is hiding now as we build a nest for her .

She is only 4 and a half months old ,having been born Feb6,2009

The pics show yesterdays egg at 50 grams next to a white store bought egg also weighing 50 grams

three new pics added todat 6/27......shows the original egg ,a store bought and her third day egg.It is 50 % bigger now.....75 grams

Thurs 7/2.....................found a " stash " of 5 eggs over in the grass ranging area.....so its at least two laying,......we have to go on an egg hunt now.....maybe its all three
